Dr. Paul DeJac is an Internal Medicine Physician specializing in General Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Acute Care, and Hospitalist Medicine. His practice has also focuses on a holistic care model for Accident and Injury Rehabilitation for No Fault and Workers Compensation patients.

Dr. DeJac is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Certified by the Worker’s Compensation Board of New York.

Dr. DeJac graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and received his Medical degree from University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences where he also went on to complete his Internal Medicine Residency training with the University at Buffalo Department of Medicine.

Prior to joining Medical Care of Western New York Dr. DeJac spent 6 years at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center where he served as Chief of the Hospitalist Division of Internal Medicine. During his time at Roswell Park Dr. DeJac served as a Physician Quality Officer and was member on a wide range of committees. As Chief he was responsible for significant growth and expansion of the Hospitalist Program, redesign of the Roswell Park Transfer Team, development of the Hospital-wide COVID-19 Surge Plan, and numerous other projects focused on Hospital Operations, Healthcare Informatics, Clinical Communication, Quality Improvement, and Patient Safety.

Through his work as an Oncology Hospitalist Dr. DeJac gained extensive experience managing complex Oncology inpatients specializing in Acute Care, Oncologic emergencies, cancer related complications, symptom management, and end of life care.
He completed Vital Talk training for “Mastering Tough Conversations” and is a Certified National Faculty Member for Vital Talk. He has taught the Vital Talk course at Roswell Park to over 100 Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.

Dr. DeJac also continues to work as a Hospitalist at Kaleida Health where he maintains his Acute Care skills caring for inpatients managing Cardiac, Stroke, and other complex medical issues. He is ACLS and NIH Stroke Certified.
